1. Construction to replace the aged and endangered Bear Cut Bridge linking Key Biscayne to Virginia Key and the mainland would cost Miami-Dade County $90 million and could be completed late in 2028, a report to county commissioners said this week. (Miami Today)
2. Sawgrass Mills is hosting a job fair that will end today. The job fair will be held at 12801 W Sunrise Blvd. and will have over 500 positions available from more than 50 retailers. The event is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (WSVN)
3. Oasis Wynwood has become a go-to destination for food, nightlife, live performances, cultural events, innovative pop-ups, and more since it first opened its doors. They will celebrate their first anniversary on May 22. It will be free and open to the public, feature interactive activations, local vendors, and live music. (Ocean Drive)
4. Miami-Dade police issued a plea to the public, in hope that someone might offer tips to the whereabouts of a homicide suspect who’s been on the run for about a year. 20-year-old Joshua Campos of Miami is accused of killing 26-year-old Demetrius Harris. Police said the killing took place Sunday, July 25, 2021 around 5:21 p.m. in the area of Hidden Groove Apartments. (Miami Patch)
5. Dasnnay Rosa, the Miami mother of missing teen, Sergio Juarez, recently launched a GoFundMe fundraiser in hopes of finding her son. According to Miami-Dade police, last Tuesday around 9 p.m., Juarez left his home along the 2800 block of NW 98 St. in Miami and has not returned. (Miami Patch)
